This combo pack for a bargain price consists of 2 Tatamis which placed next to each other make up a base for the Futon Cotton Latex Comfort. It´s available in several double bed sizes. The combination of tatami and futon form an excellent Japanese bed. This way of sleeping is common in Japan as the futon can be rolled up during the day to use the area for other purposes. Moreover the tatami and pure cotton futon offer the perfect degree of hardness and support needed for a good nights sleep.

Width of tatami base: 160 cm. The bedding surface includes two tatamis, each 80 cm wide.

If you want to allow a part of the tatami weave to remain visible on both sides of the bed (as shown in the gallery) choose a 140 cm wide futon. If you want the base to be as wide as the futon choose a 160 cm wide futon.

The high quality of the tatami is distinguishable by the double weaving visible on the front as well as the back side. Thus the tatami has a thickness of 5,5 cm.

Product features of the futon

Futon Cotton & Latex Comfort is an absolutely natural product. The batting consists of 3 layers of pure carded cotton, followed by a 4 cm thick layer of latex as well as 3 more layers of carded cotton. The latex insert gives the body a pleasant support and ensures a higher longevity of the futon. Also the mattress cover with a total height of 14 cm is made of pure cotton. Care and Maintenance

To ensure a long durability of your futon you should turn it over occasionally. This is especially important during the initial time of its use, to encourage an equal pressure on the cotton layers so that they keep their original form. We suggest to vacuum the mattress from time to time to remove dust and other impurities. For more resistant stains it's possible to clean the futon with stain removers. It's best to avoid the use of water. Further we suggest to fold the futon periodically (i.e. at the change of season) and position it outside or in an airy room allowing possible absorbed moisture to escape.

Its best to clean the tatami with a vacuum cleaner.
