The Massage Futon in Cotton and Latex is a roll-up mattress with a firm lying comfort. The layers of cotton and the compact height determine the firmness and the internal layer of latex gives this composition the stability needed for physiotherapy and massages such as shiatsu or thai treatments.

- pure carded cotton
- high density latex

Colors

The futon cover is available in different colors, which you will find in the above selection.
The hand sewn tufting points and edge seams will be in the same color as the cover of the futon.

Maintenance and care

Futons are quilted mattresses so it's not possible to remove the cover. Possible stains will have to be removed with a stain remover. To protect the Futon from over time, we recommend to add the removable cover with a zipper along three sides. You will find this in the Accessories section. The removable cover is made of the same fabric as the futon cover and can be ordered in a variety of colours colors.

Further we recommend to turn the futon over from time to time, so that the cotton layers maintain their density. The futon should also occasionally be rolled up and left to air out. It's best to repeat this operation at least at every change of season.

Durability of the futon

In Arpel we do not use recycled cotton for the batting of our futons. With recycled cotton we wouldn't be able to guarantee the desired quality of the fibre, as it is often too worn out. Arpel mattresses are made of high-quality virgin cotton and with proper care they will last up to 10 years.
