Product features
The Massage Futon in Pure Cotton is an extra firm roll-up mattress. The layers of cotton and the compact height offer the necessary firmness needed for physiotherapy and shiatsu massages.

This japanese futon is available in single, double, queen or king size.

Colors
The futon cover is available in different colors, which you will find in the above selection.
The hand sewn tufts and edge seams will be in the same color as the cover of the futon.
Maintenance and care
Futons are quilted mattresses so you cannot remove the cover. Possible stains will have to be removed with a stain remover. To protect the Futon from stains and dust, we recommend to add the removable cover which opens on three sides. You will find this in the Accessories section. The removable cover is made of the same material as the futon cover and can be ordered in a different color.
Further we recommend to flip the futon over from time to time, so that the cotton layers maintain their density. The futon should also occasionally be rolled up and left to air out, so that it can let out any possible humidity which may have been absorbed over time. It's best to repeat this operation at least at every change of season.
Durability of the futon
In Arpel we do not use recycled cotton for the batting of our futons. With recycled cotton we wouldn't be able to guarantee the desired quality of the fibre, as it is often too worn out. Arpel mattresses are made of high-quality virgin cotton and with proper care they will last up to 10 years.

Travel futon
Practical lightweight travel futon mattress provided with a comfortable carrying bag. This tufted mattress in carded cotton is 200 cm long and 7 cm thick. When it is rolled up in it's bag, the diameter is about 40 cm and length ranges from 80 cm to 180 cm, according to the size chosen. The bag is included in the price.
